Alison L. Bailey, MD, FACC, is Chief of Cardiology at Centennial Heart at Parkridge in Chattanooga. Dr. Bailey is a fellowship-trained cardiologist who is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology. Prior to joining Centennial Heart at Parkridge, Dr. Bailey was associate chief of cardiology and medical director of the Cardiovascular Ambulatory Practice at Erlanger Health System, where she also started the Advanced Heart Failure Clinic.
Dr. Bailey attended college and medical school at the University of Kentucky. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency, Chief Residency and Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship at the University of Kentucky, as well. She worked at the Gill Heart Institute with an emphasis in cardiovascular education, serving as the Associate Program Director for the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship as well as establishing the Cardiac Rehabilitation program in 2009.
Dr. Bailey is the editor-in-chief of the American College of Cardiology’s Extended Learning (ACCEL) editorial board, and is host of the ACC’s “Practice Made Perfect” podcast series.
She serves as council governor for the Tennessee Chapter of the American College of Cardiology through March 2021.
